About

 ABOUT ME!

Antoinette Huegel (they/them/theirs), or Toni for short, is a senior undergraduate student at Manhattan School of Music, where they pursue a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre and study in the voice studio of Bob Stillman. Toni is originally from the Greater Philadelphia Area, and currently resides in New York City.

Ever since they can remember, Toni has been fascinated by the magic of theatrical performance and the transformative power of music. Whether it be frolicking around the living room to The Wizard of Oz on TV, belting Kelly Clarkson and P!nk in the car with Mom, or learning all there is to know about the greats of Rock & Roll from Dad, Toni has always made it their mission to live a life full of music. Music, to Toni, is the most powerful art form and universal language of all.

Toni began taking voice lessons at the age of 10, and soon after, started to sing at local churches, restaurants, athletic events, etc. They auditioned for their first musical at the age of 12, where they were honored to journey to the land of OZ as Dorothy Gale in the musical adaptation of their most beloved film. Since then, Toni has fallen madly in love with their craft, and has continued to take the stage by storm with roles such as "The Witch" in Into The Woods, "Dolly Levi" in Hello Dolly!, and "Sour Kangaroo" in Seussical. In 2022, Toni also had the privilege of working with Dave Malloy and Krista Knight on the pair's developmental work, Don't Stop Me, where Toni brought the role of "Tye Spring" to life.

No matter what kind of role they play, Toni is immensely passionate about bringing depth, emotion, and authenticity to each and every character they come to know and love. Toni's lifelong dream is to be able to perform on a Broadway stage for a living, and to hopefully create/release music of their own, sometime soon. They are so excited for the opportunities that each day brings, and they cannot wait to see what's in store for them in the future!
